Miss Teen Rochester – Judge

Beauty comes in many forms. As a portrait artist, reflecting on the inner and outer beauty of a person is part of my daily business. That’s why I am so excited to be a judge for the Miss Teen Rochester Pageant this Friday and Saturday!

The contestants are judged by their CHARACTER (that’s right, no weight or height requirements and NO bathing suit contest)! Judges will interview each girl and get to know them as individuals before they strut their favorite outfits to represent their unique personalities. This is similar to when I ask about the unique qualities of the children , brides, families, and pets that I draw.

This is a whole new experience for me and I am so thrilled to volunteer at this  event. Hopefully, it will be just what  I expect – an opportunity for young local girls to gain confidence, make friends, and learn that their individuality makes them all beautiful!

Hopefully all the young ladies will remember to bring their roar…
